Class Information

Daily Schedule

TBD

Newsletters/Notes

On a daily basis, your child will bring home classroom papers, any notes from me, and/or any notes from the office, PTO, etc.  Please be sure to check your child’s backpack every night.  If you put anything in their backpack to be given to me, please put it in your child's folder.  Please let us know as soon as possible of any address/phone number/emergency contact information changes, so we can update our files.

Newsletters will be sent home monthly with what will be happening in the classroom for the next month.

Absences

If your child is going to miss school, please call the office and let them know before 9:15 am.  Our secretary will be calling you if your child does not arrive to school, to make sure that every child is safely accounted for.  If you know that you will be absent in advance you can let me know.

Going Home

If your child will be going home a way that is different from the usual way, we must have a note (preferred) or phone call from the parent.  Please include first and last names and a phone contact number for anyone that you authorize to pick up your child; and make sure that our office has a record of anyone that you authorize to pick up.  Remind anyone that you authorize to pick up that they will need to bring a picture ID. This is for your child’s safety.

Drop Off-Pick Ups

Supervision for he students begins at 8:45am. The front entrance is where you may drop off your child. Monitors will be there to direct them to the gym. If your child is a parent pick-up after school, you will pick up at the door at the far end  of the building. Please do not go to the lockers before school starts.

Birthdays

You are welcome to send in a special treat for birthdays.  Items need to be store bought and peanut free.

Clothing

Please make sure that your child wears comfortable play clothes that can withstand the activity and messiness of creative play.  Be sure your child is dressed for the weather, as we go outside daily, except for severe cold or rain.  It’s also important that your child is able to manipulate their own clothing.  We practice self-help and motor skills daily. Belts are cute, but if they are not needed to hold pants up, please leave them at home.  Tennis shoes are best!

Please send an extra set of clothing – including socks and underwear that we can store here at school so that we do not need to call you in case of accidents or spills.
